While satisfying the hunger for earthly food is crucial, there is nothing more important than the eternal basket of bread from Jesus. Prayer is the yeast that makes the dough rise in a relationship with God. We pray for countless people on the streets. It’s the best way we know to show the love of Jesus. It shows you really care about that person's well-being and future. We realize that as Christians, praying out loud and with a stranger is not easy.

 

I myself was terrified to pray for people out loud, but God already knows what you are thinking anyway, and if those words offer encouragement to the person you are praying for and only bring you closer to God. Just like anything else, the more you do it, the better you become. I promise you, from personal experience, prayer changes people’s lives.
